Preserving Roots — Growing Generations
A powerful glimpse into Yeshiva Bais Binyomin of Stamford.
Nearly half a century ago, three prominent Roshei Yeshiva and marbitzei Torah shared a vision: to build a makom Torah where every talmid would be surrounded by the right sviva, the right keilim, and the inspiration to grow into his fullest potential in Torah and yiras Shomayim.
With tremendous mesiras nefesh and extraordinary siyata dishmaya, that vision became Yeshivas Bais Binyomin of Stamford. Founded by Rav Simcha Schustal zt"l, Rav Dovid Hersh Mayer zt"l, and Rav Meir Hershkowitz zt"l, the Yeshiva continues to carry their ideals with strength and purity nearly fifty years later.
Today, under the leadership of the founders' descendants — Rav Yeruchom Zeilberger shlita, Rav Chaim Hershkowitz shlita, and Rav Yaakov Yosef Mayer shlita — Bais Binyomin continues to mold a new generation of talmidim with the same bren, the same devotion, and the same unwavering commitment to Torah and yiras Shomayim.
A visit to the Yeshiva's campus on Carlton Road in Monsey is an experience in itself. From early morning until late at night, the kol Torah fills the Bais Medrash and spills beyond its walls. The bochurim do not merely learn Torah — they live Torah. Their faces reflect the joy of ameilus baTorah, the yearning of cheshkas haTorah, and the deep sipuk that comes from growing in Torah for its own sake.
Many who stop in for a minyan, or simply to see the Yeshiva, find themselves drawn into the atmosphere. The ruach, the hasmadah, and the nonstop Torah learning are felt immediately. The years a talmid spends within these walls are transformative: he enters as a young bochur and emerges with the foundation, clarity, and identity of a true ben Torah.
This growth is nurtured by devoted magidei shiur and rebbeim who do far more than teach. They live the Torah they transmit, invest themselves in every talmid, and form a personal kesher with each bochur according to his kochos and needs.
Once a Bais Binyomin talmid, always a Bais Binyomin talmid.
The alumni of this extraordinary makom Torah remain connected for life. Many proudly send their own children and grandchildren to the Yeshiva that shaped their essence and values.
Now, as Yeshivas Bais Binyomin approaches its annual campaign, this is the opportunity to show hakoras hatov and to help sustain a makom Torah whose roots are deep, whose impact is visible, and whose future continues to blossom.
Please give generously and partner in the next generation of Torah growth.
